01 Who can compete
- Men and women aged 30 or above on the first day of the championship.
- Age is calculated on the first day of the championship and decides your 5-year Masters category (M30, M35, M40 … and W30, W35, W40 …).
- Athletes represent Tamil Nadu districts, clubs, institutions or compete individually.
- Membership of MAFI-TN is separate from entry to a championship; becoming a member does not enter you in any event.
02 Entries and fees
- Register online (individual or organisation) or at the Welcome Desk where walk-in entry is offered.
- One enrolment fee per participant covers up to three events. The fee is shown before you pay and is set for each championship.
- The jersey kit (T-shirt, shorts and track pant) is optional and charged at the rate shown for that championship.
- An entry is confirmed only after the federation has matched your payment reference to the money received. You will be told when this is done.
- Check your name, date of birth and chosen events carefully. Corrections must be requested from the registrar desk before the championship.
03 Age proof and identity
- Carry an original government photo ID — Aadhaar or a State/Central Government photo ID — and your registration pass (printed or on your phone).
- Your name and date of birth must match your ID. Entries with doubtful age proof can be held back until verified.
- Fabricated or altered age documents lead to disqualification and suspension from federation events.
04 On the day
- Report to the call room at least 45 minutes before the scheduled start of each event, with your chest number and registration pass.
- Check in at the Welcome Desk by scanning the QR code on your pass. Check-in is recorded once per athlete.
- An athlete who is not present at the call room when the event is called may be treated as a non-starter.
- Chest numbers are worn as issued and must not be folded, cut or covered.
05 Clothing, kit and conduct
- Wear clean athletic clothing that is not transparent when wet. Club or federation kit is welcome; offensive slogans or unauthorised commercial branding are not allowed.
- Respect officials, volunteers, fellow athletes and spectators. Abuse, intimidation or dangerous behaviour can lead to disqualification and removal from the venue.
- Athletes compete at their own risk and must be medically fit; see the health declaration made at registration.
06 Results, protests and appeals
- Events are conducted by the appointed technical officials; their decisions on the field of play are final unless protested.
- A protest must be made promptly to the Referee in the manner set out in the WMA rules, and may be taken to the Jury of Appeal.
- Results are announced at the venue and may be published on this website and the federation's social media.
07 Changes and cancellations
The federation may change the order of events, timings or venue arrangements because of weather, safety or administration. Changes are announced at the venue and through the contact details you gave at registration. If a championship is cancelled by the organiser, entry fees are refunded or carried forward as announced at that time.
